A Two-Week Milestone: Watching Them Grow

August 2026 brings wonderful news from the nursery. Our latest litter of Boerboels has reached their two-week milestone, marking a beautiful shift in their development as they begin to explore the world.

Growth & Development

Two weeks already! These babies are growing like weeds and changing every single day. Everyone is gaining weight, getting stronger, and starting to show more of their little personalities.

And while they're becoming a little more independent, Mom and babies are still being constantly watched and cared for by us. We are there with them around the clock, keeping track of weights and feedings, watching Mom closely, making sure everyone is nursing well, and making adjustments as they grow. There still isn't a whole lot of sleep happening around here!

Their eyes are open now, and they're beginning to see the world around them. Since their eyes are still developing, we keep their area softly lit and avoid bright lights.

They've also officially outgrown the incubator! They are getting much too mobile and need room to stretch those legs, wobble around, and explore. They are starting to take their first steps, interact with their littermates and go to the bathroom on their own. 

It's amazing how much can change in just a couple of weeks!
